  • ONE   Precautions for daily use
  1.  Always check the connection status of each part and the tightness of the wire.

  3.  When starting in cold weather, the flame preheater should be preheated for 10-15 seconds, and then the starter motor should be used.
  4.  The starter motor can only work for a short time, and each start time cannot exceed 5 seconds. If it fails to start at one time, it should be restarted after an interval of 1-2 minutes.
  5.  After the engine is started, the start switch should be released immediately to avoid unnecessary idling and reduce the wear of the one-way clutch.
  • TWO. Maintenance for 1000 hours of work
  1.  Remove internal oil and dirt.
  2.  Check whether the surface of the commutator is smooth, whether the brush is stuck in the frame, the height of the brush (not less than 1/2 of the original height), and the contact between the brush and the commutator. If the surface of the commutator is slightly burned, it can be polished with "00" sandpaper. If the burn is severe and the out-of-roundness is more than 0.05mm, the car must be polished again and polished with "00" sandpaper.
  3.  Check the spring force of the brush (measured with a spring balance), the pressure of the spring on the brush should be within the range of 0.9-1.5kg, otherwise it should be adjusted or replaced.
  4.  Clean the armature and driving mechanism with gasoline (or kerosene) and dry them. When installing, apply graphite grease between the friction plates of the friction clutch, and apply calcium-based grease on the spiral spline part.
  5.  Check the technical status of the excitation coil.
  6.  Check the surface of the electromagnetic switch for electric shock and static contact. If it is burnt or has black spots, use "00" sandpaper to smooth it.
  • three. Check and adjust the position of the drive gear
  1. Check and adjust the gap between the drive gear and the thrust washer. Lever-type meshing mechanism, press the lever to the end (the electromagnetic meshing mechanism should push the iron core to the end), and move the driving gear to the rightmost position. At this time, there should be a 1.5-3mm gap between the end face of the driving gear and the thrust plate. If it does not meet the requirements, adjustments should be made. For the starter equipped with electromagnetic switch, the length of the pull rod can be changed to adjust, the pull rod is shortened, the gap becomes smaller, and vice versa. For the starter of the lever-type engagement mechanism, the adjustment screw and the limit screw on the joystick can be adjusted. When the adjustment screw is withdrawn or the limit screw is screwed in, the gap will increase, and vice versa.
  2. Inspection and adjustment of the installation position of the drive gear. When installing the motor, the distance between the end face of the drive gear and the end face of the flywheel ring gear should be kept 2.5-5mm. If it does not, you can add or subtract shims between the plane of the starter convex line and the engine base to ensure good gear meshing.
